The market has been extremely active of late, and doesn't appear to show any signs of slowing down. At the same time, there seems to be continuing positive news about an inevitable economic recovery, even if economists differ on the exact time line involved. However, it would appear that many buyers have been listening, as they have been returning to the market in surprising numbers.
For a first time buyer, there can be many aspects of making a purchase that can seem confusing and unclear. Many clients I meet who are buying for the first time have numerous questions, and many say they find the process somewhat overwhelming. The market has once again reverted to an environment favouring sellers (a market well known to Torontonians), and this can create even greater anxiety for a buyer new to the process. How does one plan a buying strategy in this kind of playing field, and insure emotions and a sense of urgency doesn't dictate the wrong kind of buying decision? These will be just some of the issues focused on at the workshops.
Starting on September 24th, I will be offering free, homebuyer workshops at King Street East offices, and these will provide an opportunity for anyone thinking about buying their first property to get lots of questions answered, and receive valuable information to assist them as they move forward. In addition to myself, the workshop will have a presentation by a mortgage professional, and a real estate lawyer.
